Hello MRC! This is your Heads of House writing the College blog this week!

To remind you, our Heads of House are as follows: Austen – Ms Madden, Kipling – Mr Hickman, Tennyson – Mr Chaplin and Woolf – Mr Hancock. We also have new Sixth Form House Leaders, some of you will have seen them in your assemblies last week talking about one of our core values of happiness and raising awareness of Down Syndrome.

We would like to congratulate you on your fantastic efforts on raising a MASSIVE £1161.67 for Comic Relief, thank you for all those involved! Well done to the 6th form for coordinating the day’s events that included: cake sale, sponge the teacher and the try not to laugh challenge.

With regards to your up and coming house events these include:

  • House Dance will be meeting in the Dance Studio on Tuesday 26th at 13.00 for Years 7 and 8 and for Years 9-11 on Thursday 28th March.
  • There is also a house Easter themed cake competition – more information on this is in the tutor time presentation for this week.

As a community, you will know you decided on our College values of Respect, Happiness and Achievement. Our assemblies last week focussed on happiness and so we thought it is right to share the following with you.  What you say and how you treat others has a large bearing on the happiness of someone’s day. Please make sure that you always focus on the positives, as follows. Through doing this we will make our College community even better and maintain positive relationships with the community of Midhurst and beyond.
