With one of our focuses being the teaching of boys

I have found some interesting and thought-provoking documents on ways to both motivate boys and help them achieve.  This is important now, more than ever, due to the national picture which shows the gender performance gap to be at 8.9%.

Over the next few weeks I am going to try a variety of different things with my group.

Although all the above teaching and learning strategies are applicable to both boys and girls, I think these are certainly worth exploring again and perhaps developing further for boys. If we could all share resources I think this would help us all.  I am also aware that there is a link between boys and lower levels of literacy so I will share some ideas this way too.
