Our values: Respect, Happiness and Achievement

These values are really important to us, both inside and outside of College. They were chosen by you – our students – in December 2016. It is great to see the vast majority of you working hard to embed these values in the way you work, help and support each other. Through doing this, we will make MRC a better school for all of us.

The school league tables were published this week and it is good to see the achievements of our students being recognised in these. In order to achieve good results in school, it is essential that we all work our hardest every day and commit to being better today than we were yesterday. If we can all do this, our school and community will continue to go from strength to strength. It is great to see you working hard in lessons. It was also fantastic to see so many of our Year 11 students attend the INSET day for additional work and support; it shows how keen they are to do well and to achieve.

Internet safety day is on 6th February 2018 this year. The internet is a wonderful invention and allows to access information and communicate with each other very easily. You will have noticed that we have put posters up around the College encouraging you to think before you post things online: is what you are saying helpful, kind, inspirational or supportive? If it isn’t, then please think twice before you post it. We must all make sure we respect each other in the way we behave online, as well as in and outside of College.

A couple of points to finish on. Can we all please remember to use the bins and to keep our school tidy. It does look much better, but we must keep this up. Also, we are now setting Hegartymaths work for you all to do every week – please make sure you do it!

Some sports results from this week – well done to all and thank you for participating:

Year 8 boys football team beat OSVA 4-0, man of the match Jake Dreckman

Year 9 girls netball won 6-0 against Chichester High school, 6-1 against the Regis, 10-0 against Luffa and 7-1 against Felpham. Too many girls played well to pick names out! Fantastic results!
