Welcome to Austen House!
Your Head of House and House Leader will be working together to ensure that students in Austen are contributing positively to their house and getting involved with the ethos of the college as a whole. As a member of Austen, you are expected to work together and support your housemates in their endeavours. You will work hard towards house goals by achieving inside and outside of lessons and demonstrating excellent behaviour around the collage. Your head of house and house leader are there to support you with this throughout your time at MRC.
To quote Jane Austin’s novel Sense and sensibility…
“It isn’t what we say or think that defines us… but what we do.”
So get involved and have fun… Austen for the win!
There will be multiple events throughout the year with 3 highlights (Music, Drama, Sports day), for which students can win a trophy for their House. The overall winning House will win the House cup at the end of the academic year.
