‘Get Ahead, Stay Ahead’ – our big push!
I’d like to start this week by mentioning Mr Lloyd’s assemblies from the last two weeks, around our push for you all to ‘get ahead, stay ahead.’ You all did so well in terms of completing additional tasks (extra to homework), and handing your golden tickets in for the prize draw. One of our values is achievement and if you are completing all the ‘get ahead, stay ahead’ tasks, you will put yourself in the strongest position to achieve your very best – something we all strive to do.
Another positive from this week is the way you are working in lessons. I visited several classes last week and in EVERY case, I saw you working hard and doing well. Your behaviour is outstanding – in the fire drill drills this week, your conduct was excellent. We must make sure we keep this up – you have set the standards very high – we must keep to this.
We had a very successful open evening last week for our potential Year 7 students to join our College in 2019. We are now full in every year group, which is fantastic. I tell you frequently that you make us what we are – you are helping to make our reputation better and better with good behaviour and manners outside of College – let’s keep this up.
A reminder about our fireworks evening on 2nd November. It promises to be a fantastic night – there will be live music, food, drink and fireworks to music using a professional company. Make sure you get your ticket asap!
