The Application Process
You should begin by thinking carefully about what interests you, what you are good at, what would make a good combination with other subjects you want to study and what fits in with any future career plans you have.
You should talk to your subject teachers to find out if the courses you wish to do will suit you and your abilities. Your teachers may be confident in your ability to succeed in a subject you choose even though you might find it difficult in places.
Our Sixth Form Open Evening and the subsequent Taster Day will allow you to both experience sixth form lessons and to discuss your options in detail with the teaching staff. If you already have clear ideas about what you wish to study at higher education it is very important that you check what universities require from you both at GCSE and A level.
Midhurst Rother College offers a variety of different programmes for students in Years 12 and 13 in order to cater for a range of interests and diverse strengths. Every student should have an individual learning programme that combines the opportunity to pursue the right courses with the various enrichment activities that are on offer.
