The last week of a busy half-term
This is one of the longer half-terms in the academic year and I would like to start by thanking you for your good manners, politeness and positive behaviour over the last seven weeks. I know that we all don’t get everything right all the time – and I include myself in that – but we must all remain determined to do better when we get things wrong. My message in assemblies this term has been about kindness, respect and hardwork. We must keep all those things uppermost in everything we do.
A brief reflection on the last 7 weeks of this half-term. We have had several sporting fixtures (thank you to everyone for representing our College – win or lose), information evenings for every year group, year 6 open evening and days, year 11 open evening and days, a talent show, a film shown for years 7 and 8, primary school students in to visit, trips to visit universities, some tests and exams for different year groups. We’ve also taught somewhere in the region of 11000 lessons. Half-term may be nearly here, but it is important that we keep pushing and working hard.
Notices for this week:
- Non-uniform day on Friday. £1 contribution to the MRC parents association
- Whole College assembly on Wednesday
Sports results – thank you to everyone who represents our college:
- Year 8 girls’ netball: The Academy Selsey 1 – MRC 20

Have a good week
