Curriculum

The College offers a broad and balanced curriculum, a specialism of Science and Mathematics with an additional emphasis on Business, Enterprise and ICT throughout the curriculum.

In their first three years, students will concentrate on attaining high standards of literacy, numeracy and developing competencies in ICT.  The College also places an emphasis on the development of personal, learning and thinking skills.  The combination of these key attributes will enable students to achieve success across all subject areas and equip them to extend their learning opportunities.  Students will learn in a mixture of groupings, from mixed ability classes to those organised according to ability or need.

The broad curriculum on offer in the first three years at Midhurst Rother College enables students, with parents and tutors, to make informed choices for GSCE level and beyond.  Where appropriate, for example in the ICT course in Year 9, many students will develop skills to allow them to take early public examinations.
