MRC Sixth Form

Ambitious, hardworking, and focused on success. We are and we hope you are too.

Midhurst Rother College Sixth Form offers a unique educational experience.

Whatever subjects you choose, you can expect to be taught with passion and skill by subject specialists.  Our small class sizes mean that teachers will be able to give you individual attention to help you achieve your full potential.  We are committed to finding the right courses and academic pathways for you rather than expecting you to fit into a narrow programme not of your choosing.  We will support you as you make the transition from GCSE to your new courses and then on to university, but we will also have high expectations and you should be ready to work hard from day one.

You will be involved in planning and organising a range of excursions and activities throughout the year with the support of your dedicated 6th Form Pastoral Leader.  If you find yourself on our 6th Form Council you will take an important part in deciding how the 6th Form is run.  These opportunities will not only help to build UCAS points, but also develop interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, all of which are vital in the workplace.  We are looking for students who wish to be active participants in all aspects of learning and life at the College.

We also ask our students to take part in a range of timetabled enrichment activities such as Sports Leader qualifications, extended projects, work experience, Young Enterprise, mentoring and community volunteering.  You may also find yourself applying for a travel bursary awarded each year and planning a trip to some exotic destination, or taking part in an international expedition to test yourself in one or another of the planet’s most interesting environments.

The number of opportunities open to you is enormous.

Academic progress is rewarded; at the end of Year 13, five students who have made the most academic progress (based on prior attainment not final examination results) will be awarded £100, courtesy of The Gilbert Hannam Education Foundation.

Midhurst Rother College Sixth Form is the perfect place to continue your studies.  Our current students will be happy to show you around our new, fantastic building any time and tell you more. I look forward to seeing you here for your post 16 studies.
