Home Testing Kits
The health and safety of every member of our school community remains our priority as the College continues to reopen. Mass testing is key to us achieving this and we have conducted thousands of tests so far this term.
As you will know, the DfE has requested that all schools and colleges distribute asymptomatic testing kits for home use to all consenting staff and students...
A comprehensive video on how to complete the testing process at home can be found here How to do a COVID-19 Self Test (rapid antigen test) - YouTube.
Before taking your first test, I would remind you to read the privacy notice located on our website: Privacy Notice - model school and college testing.pdf (mrc-academy.org). When taking any test, please read the instructions for use (ensuring it is the correct version: v1.3.2) and record the details of your test kit so that the result can be logged on the government website: Report a COVID-19 rapid lateral flow test result - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and with us via our Microsoft Form: MRC Home testing results form.
If there is a clinical incident which leads to, or has potential for harm (a swab breaking in the mouth, bleeding, allergic reaction on using kit etc.), participants are advised to report it on https://coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk. This is not for seeking immediate medical care. Medical care should be sought through the usual route of contacting 111 or 999.
