Student librarian team
The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) supports and enhances learning across the curriculum at all levels and promotes reading for pleasure. It will thereby encourage students to become:
- Independent leaners who are able to use a wide range of technologies with confidence and discernment.
- Individuals who are developing a lifelong reading habit which will assist them in becoming reflective, mature adults.
The LRC is open at break and lunchtime and before and after college. It is used for homework, reading, and research using books and computers.
During lesson time teachers may book the LRC for use by their classes. Students may also bring an out of class pass from the teacher in order to use the printer or other resources.
The Sixth Form Library
The sixth form library is positioned on a mezzanine floor above the main LRC. It can be accessed by a staircase and is exclusively for sixth form use. It is a silent study space with 7 computers.
We have an inter-library loan system by arrangement with Winchester College.
